ScareMeNots is a line of friendly plush monster dolls by Innovative Toys, Inc. The dolls are intended to be a sleeping companion for children 2-6 who are afraid of the dark and have worries about monsters in their room. ScareMeNots have extra-long tails (with Velcro) that allow them to “hang” wherever bedtime monsters might be hiding (under the bed, in the closet, behind the curtains, etc).

About Our New Inductee

Before you buy a product, it's generally common practice to be familiar with what it does, the branding, and other details. We feel that the same rule applies to our "New Inductees" we announce each week, so this section is titled "About Our New Inductee." The information in this section will provide you with a quick yet accurate glance of what the product or service is all about.

ScareMeNots are one of the more distinctively unique plush character groups that re-write the definition of Plush characters. Part of the reason for this is they are all graduates from the world renowned SCAREMENOT ACADEMY – a special school where monsters learn to see in the dark, hang from their tails and help kids face their nighttime fears.

Courageous Carrie is a graduate of the academy, bringing a fresh new psychological development for youngsters while growing up. She has had very special training to use her ability to smell like any flower she desires. Just one whiff of one of her flowery smells and monsters are on the run! You see, when scary monsters get a whiff, they can't stop giggling!


In our evaluation of the ScareMeNots, we had the entire gang, big and small. The ScareMeNots really proved their dedication to keep the monsters away. They even followed The Toy Man on the Amtrak train, all the way from Los Angeles to New York City.

On a more serious note, ScareMeNots good little monsters that protect kids from bedtime fears. Best of all, they are available in "Full" and "Travel" Sizes. Throughout our hands-on evaluations, on the trains, in Times Square, and in schools, the choice of sizes proved to be quite favorable with all of the consumers participating. It was simply amazing how the ScareMeNots commanded such an incredible level of appeal.

It's all in the tail! Well, that's what seems to be an obvious fact from the image at left. After all, those crazy tails are one of the key elements that make ScareMeNots so special and unique! 

The folks at Innovative Toys, Inc. defined it so perfectly why the ScareMeNots are different and such a good investment whether you are a corporate buyer or a general consumer. "ScareMeNots is a line of friendly plush monster dolls. Consumer Hands-On Evaluation

Nothing is more powerful than hands-on experience by a consumer with a product when it is under evaluation. Based upon that fact we put a number of products we currently are slated to evaluate at the mercy of consumers in a hands-on evaluation where anything goes. The information to follow will explore the responses from the participants in our spontaneous hands-on consumer evaluation of the products available for their review.

Courageous Carrie and the rest of the ScareMeNots have rewritten the book when it comes to consumer hands-on evaluation of products. In the entire history of our publication, we have never in all these years seen a product that commanded such an incredible level of response and appeal with the exception of the Cabbage Patch Kids and the game, Jishaku.

In every train station, on every train, in Times Square NYC, and every public place in the Adventures of The Toy Man®, the ScareMeNots were capturing the hearts of virtually every single person around. Even the engineers on the Amtrak Southwest Chief wanted a ScareMeNot! Now that is being popular!


If only you could have been there to experience the excitement and so many smiles that appeared as the ScareMeNots made their way through the adventures, each ScareMeNot finding its own special place in the hearts of children and adults across the country as The Toy Man® continued on in his latest adventures.

In our going over all of the video tapes, feedback forms, and other content, the ScareMeNots were over the top in getting the brass ring when it came to spontaneous consumer hands-on evaluation! It was all too obvious that the ScareMeNots passed this segment of our evaluation with the highest of honors.

Throughout all phases of our durability testing, and all other facets of to determine the level of design quality, the ScareMeNots pulled through with shining colors ...literally! Courageous Carrie and the ScareMeNots pulled a perfect score of [5] Five Stars] in this category for DESIGN QUALITY.

Durability was more of a challenge to determine due to the fact of there were so many ScareMeNots and material components which they are made from to take into consideration. With Courageous Carrie and the ScareMeNots, they held their own through all of the washing colorfast, and just plain wear and tear tests.  It was amazing to see how every single ScareMeNot was a true champion in its evaluation for durability.  Courageous Carrie and her friends all pulled a perfect score of [5] Five Stars] in this category for DURABILITY.

FUNFACTOR™: Rating Level - [5] an image of 5 gold  stars

FUNFACTOR™ proved to be quite simplistic to determine with Courageous Carrie and her friends. According to one of our independent evaluators, "The ScareMeNots create a fabulous experience of fun for a child whether from carrying the characters from place to place or simply resting on their lap.  Either way they encourage social interaction and help a child to discover they are not alone.  Friends can be a plush character or a real person.  They are the catalyst which incites a generous level of frivolity and fun transforming a boring environment into one of excitement and fanatical fun for a child and those around him or her."

Courageous Carrie and her ScareMeNot friends made it through our evaluation with the highest level of value and importance in this evaluation category. They emerged from the challenge presented in this category with an outstanding score of [5] Five Stars].

When it comes to the HUGZFACTOR™ with Courageous Carrie and the rest of the ScareMeNots, this was an entirely new challenge with our latest updated evaluation guidelines. Every child and mother in our evaluation was holding Courageous Carrie and the rest of the ScareMeNots close to their hearts. Literally every single person who held one brought them close to their hearts, experiencing that warm and fuzzy feeling their bodies and minds cherish so greatly.

The end result from our evaluation in the category for HUGZfactor™ was easy to establish. Courageous Carrie and the rest of the ScareMeNots were highly favored and came in the gates with a perfect score of [5] Stars in the category of HUGZfactor™.

Courageous Carrie and her friends took the prize without question when it comes to MARKETABILITY. When you take into consideration the quality, functionality, level of contribution to skill development and entertainment value of Courageous Carrie and the rest of the ScareMeNots, it is easy to see a that the level of marketability is literally beyond measure

When you think you have evaluated what you see as the greatest product to be submitted for evaluation in quite some time, never fail, there's always yet another soon to top that one.  Such is the case with Courageous Carrie and her fellow ScareMeNots.  Whether from the viewpoint of a general consumer, an educator, a qualified top level professional, or even kids, Courageous Carrie and her fellow ScareMeNots sustained long-term interest without even flinching.  Literally every last person who saw them inquired where they can buy them and/or asked if they could have one. Courageous Carrie and her fellow ScareMeNots had no problem in securing a perfect score of [5] Stars in this evaluation category for MARKETABILITY.

OVERALL VISUAL APPEAL: Rating Level - [5] an image of 5 gold  stars

VISUAL APPEAL, hmmmm...that was a really hard one to establish an accurate score in this evaluation category...NOT!!!!! In actuality Courageous Carrie and her fellow ScareMeNots made it so very simple to accomplish this task. The evidence was clear to see and in abundance with every step of our evaluation process.  Courageous Carrie and her fellow ScareMeNots command a level of overall visual appeal that is off the charts!

People were either enthralled by the unusual shapes, colors, sensation to touch, or any combination of these factors an more.  Courageous Carrie and her fellow ScareMeNots stole home base in this game, beating the ball out of the park with a perfect score of [5] Stars in this category of OVERALL VISUAL APPEAL.
