PLEASE NOTE: We have had serious challenges in the past in the evaluation of a product but this one takes the cake! In our scoring of the JumpStart World™ Kindergarten DVD, we could not find a single thing to use to drop the scoring by even a single digit in any category! A perfect score generally just doesn't happen, but we could not find a single solid reason to score this product anything less than a perfect score! Now that's a quality product!

The adventures all begin in Kindergarten at Camp JumpStart, where kids earn their first two badges on their way to becoming the Ultimate JumpScout. Children build math, reading and critical thinking skills as they explore whimsical lands personalized with their own artwork, photos and special holidays. Parents can create custom rewards and receive progress reports plus tips to motivate and extend the learning.

If the WOW!factor was a part of the categories in this review, then the JumpStart World™ Kindergarten DVD would have scored off the scale! Both in New York area and in Los Angeles, WOW! seemed to be the word for the day with the kids and the adults alike. The children who had an opportunity to experience the game were absolutely fascinated with the various 3D characters and new worlds to explore with the game.

It is important to understand that you must have a broadband Internet connection in order to make use of the JumpStart World™ Kindergarten DVD. Children login to complete each lesson and parents are enabled to login to check up on their children's progress. One of the primary points of interest with both the parents and teachers alike who participated in our hands-on evaluation was that parents are more likely to be a part of the scenario with their children using the JumpStart World™ Kindergarten DVD. These days it seems that many parents leave their children with a PS3 or other electronic entertainment device, while they go and do whatever they feel like doing. Their children have no real interaction with their parents outside of being fed, told to do chores, and go to bed.

JumpStart World™ Kindergarten helps to bring the family experience back into reality where parents are in full interaction with their children in most of their activities, especially their home learning experience. At the same time, the 3D characters captivated a child's complete attention. It was amazing how many times the children in our consumer evaluation kept calling their parents over to see something new in the scenario they were working on.

The approach in the story line used has a strong influence with children yet making learning fun simultaneously. The curriculum was strong enough to maintain a learning experience while keeping the FunFactor at the highest level ever. One of the most important points is how that the children can earn points and are motivated to improve. The JumpStart World™ Kindergarten DVD pulled a perfect score in this category.

CRITICAL/COGNITIVE SKILL DEVELOPMENT: Rating Level 5 - The JumpStart World™ Kindergarten DVD is an excellent learning tool that provides a substantial contribution to critical skill development that is purely astounding. It provides stimulation to multiple critical skills, in a substantial manner in this category. The curriculum was well researched, structured with a smooth flow, and provides positive quantitative results without question. The JumpStart World™ Kindergarten DVD scores a perfect score of "5" in this category.
