We see a number of poseable dolls on the market these days, some more dominant in popularity than others but there is always a need for something new and innovative to provide another option for retailers to consider carrying. Introducing Reina, one of the Friends Forever Girls.

Reina means “Queen” in Spanish. She is a delightful new poseable doll which is a part of the Friends Forever Girls collection. This doll is high quality and fully poseable, sure to capture a child's attention quickly. We found it most impressive how Reina is more than just another poseable doll, she based upon an ethnic theme of design which serves as an excellent venue for stimulating a child's critical skill development.

Reina, just as the other Friends Forever Girls, is fun loving, and each has her own special and unique personality. To add to the excitement and learning experience, she comes to life through a book titled "The First Day of Forever". Reina is a character in the storyline of the book which takes the reader through the challenging and exciting adventures of a girl growing up.

Friends Forever Girls - Reina, is designed to be safe and at the same time enjoyable being completely vinyl. She can even wear most clothing designed for many of the "other" dolls in the market which are similar to the Friends Forever Girls collection. What is especially interesting is the incredible face sculpt which Reina which provides the joyful face of Reina. Her face is truly representative of her ethnicity.

A significant detail of interest that you should consider, is that Reina provides a strongly needed venue to help develop parent/child interaction. It is important to understand that the Friends Forever Girls are a community fo six girls that live on a sreet named "Butterfly Lane." Their friendship is chronicled in a book series from which each girl has her own book with her. Depending upon age of the child, a parent can read Reina's book to a child as the child is holding Reina, or the child can read the book to her parent as she relates the storyline with Reina. This provides a significant contribution to a child's learning and developmental skills.

Taking this one step further, Reina also provides an excellent venue which will encourage greater development of social interaction for a child in group settings. By a child spending time using Reina as a tool to socially interact with other children, all of the children are provided with a positive influence in their interaction with each other. At the same time, the children are more likely to be in a safe environment during their social interaction and play.

To help develop a solid, well balanced, and unbiased evaluation, Reina was taken along with a number of other toys, games, and juvenile products for hands-on evaluation at a local mall in Las Vegas, NV. Considering the vast variety of product we brought at one time for evaluation, there was far less risk of any bias in the responses from the hands-on participants.

When it comes to Friends Forever Girls - Reina, there was plenty of positive response both verbally and in the evaluation forms. It appears from the adult side of things, Reina was a hit and then some! The mothers and one of the mall store owners were quite strong in their comments in regard to the sculpture of the face as well as the quality of the apparel and accessories. Myrna, one of the mothers who had an 11 year old daughter with her, was quite excited. She said "I am so amazed at the quality of the materials used with this doll; it is far beyond what I would expect when you consider the price of the doll." Another mother by the name of Deanna-Lynn stated "This doll seems so loveable from your first impression of seeing it...My daughter would love it dearly!"

When it came to the children, there was plenty of chatter and nothing but positive comments. One of the girls put strong emphasis in her details in her evaluation form, noting how "the clothing seems like miniatures of real clothing!" Taking this young lady's feedback with the rest of the feedback forms, Reina was a major hit with all of the hands-on evaluation participants. There were no sorts of negative comments whatsoever.

While other organizations will define their ratings in a "blanket" method which simply defines each rating in an overall usage, we choose to take a different approach. Each individual rating that was assigned to this a product based upon our evaluation process, is briefly explained as to how that specific rating score was reached. Critical Skills Development: Rating Level 5 - The Critical Skills Development scoring for Reina was nothing short of s perfect score. As expected, every child who had an opportunity to participate in this evaluation was quite interactive with Reina and her book. A point brought to our attention from the parents was how that Reina also encouraged the child to interact not just with the doll and book, but other children around them. This clearly shows influence of social interaction skills being stimulated. It was clear to see that a combination of being a life-like poseable doll, and having an informative book in which Reina was a character, this product contributes to a child essential developmental skills dramatically. Coordination, memory, focus, attention span, executive action capability, as well as visual and spatial perception skills are enhanced greatly from continued play with Reina and her book.
